The High Court of the Gambia will be visiting the sites (NIA headquarters in Banjul and Tanji) where Solo Sandeng was said to have been buried.
The lead counsel A.A.B Gaye filed an application for a locust visit to the NIA headquarters to get firsthand information on some of the places mentioned by the various prosecution witnesses.
The defence team did not object to the application and said they will leave it to the discretion of the court.
In adopting the application and affidavits filed by the state, Counsel Gaye said he adopts their briefs of arguments and urged the court to grant their request.
The trial judge in her ruling said it is clear that the application has merit and that the defence did not object to the application. She said the visit will give them a greater idea of what has transpired. She said in light of the above, the application has been granted.
She therefore disclosed that the court will pay a visit to the NIA headquarters in Banjul and Tanji on 3rd and 4th July, 2018.
