Gambian Ambassador To Morocco Bits Off Staff’s Finger

Many described as diplomatic blunder after Alasan Jammeh, the Gambian ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco has been recalled for allegedly bitting off one of the embassy’s staff after a fight ensued between them.

A person familiar with the matter said the Welfare Protocol Officer Bakary Jarju used one of the embassy’s vehicles and went out for an errant, upon his returne, Ambassador Jammeh asked why he used the vehicle and Mr. Jarju told him to stop complaining because he (ambassador) has his personal vehicle.”

He matter resulted to an argument and then a fight in which Mr. Jammeh bits and cuts Mr. Jarju’s finger off.

However, Mr. Jammeh, our source said has since been recalled by President Barrow for consultation. “He was asked to give his side of the story as well as Mr. Jarju and some witnesses to the incident, and after hearing both sides, then the authorities will decide what measure will be taken.
