GRTS reports that Imam Leigh in his Friday sermon, urged Gambians to guard the newly found freedom and respect each other’s rights. He reminded worshippers of the “hard-old days” under the previous regime and stressed that it’s the responsibility of all Gambians to avoid a replica of the former system of government. The renowned Imam advised Gambians to stop blaming government authorities for the deportation of Gambians.

This he said was not only affecting Gambians while emphasizing that Muslims should believe that Allah is in control of their destinies and is never wrong in His decisions.

Imam Leigh called on youth to venture into business and do away with the dependence syndrome.
