The body of a former State Guard Officer was found in a well at Madiyana village in West Coast Region of the Gambia. According our source, the corpse was identified as Corporal Babucarr M.S. Bah an active member of The Gambia Armed Forces.
Circumstances surrounding the death of Corporal Bah could not be established at the time of gathering the report. However, the police and military intelligence are investigating the matter, said our source.
An anonymous person disclosed to our reporter that the late Corporal Bah was known as Sheriffo Kujabi – a name he was called even at family level.
When contacted, the public relations officer (PRO) of The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF), Major Lamin K. Sanyang confirmed the development to our reporter. He said the incident happened yesterday and the matter is currently under investigation to establish the cause of his death.
The body of the deceased, he added, has been taken to RVTH in Banjul.
