The office of the Inspector General of Police has announced that any group, be it Civil Society Organizations, Public or Private Institutions, Pressure/Interest Groups, or whosoever intend to embark on demonstrations must inform the office of the IGP by way of a written permit request to demonstrate, according a news release.
“The request for the permit should stipulate location, date, time and reasons for such demonstration. It’s important to note that no
person(s) will be tolerated to engage in such without the requisite permit.”
