Sergeant Lamin Sima, a Narcotics officer who was detained at the Anti-Crime Unit (ACU) of the Gambia Police Force in Bijilo has been handed over this afternoon to the officers of his agency, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
He is currently detained at the CTI, the NDLEA’s investigation unit in Bijilo. Sergeant Sima is suspected of drug trafficking and has been detained since Monday night.
According to sources, the suspect (Sima) was caught with four (4) bags of Cannabis in Penyem Village in the West Coast Region.
The Public Relations Officer of NDLEA, Ousman Saidy Bah confirmed that the suspect has been handed over to the NDLEA for further investigations.
