The Gambia’s Ministry of Heath, through its director of Health Services, Dr Mustapha Bittaye, has on Thursday announced a new confirmed case of COVID-19 during a press briefing at the Central Medical Stores in Kotu. The Gambia now recorded a total 18 confirmed cases, out of which 8 are active cases, 9 recovered and 1 died.
According to Dr Bittaye, a total of 194 new samples were tested, 1 tested positive, 192 tested negative and there is 1 probable case to be tested again.
He advised people to maintain social distancing and listen to advice from health authorities.
