Schools for The Gambia, Leipzig Chapter in Germany Monday March 29th, presented brand new furnitures and other learning materials to seven schools across the country earmarked to support the beneficiary schools to ease the burden on learning materials.
Musa Sanyang, the chairman of the charity speaking at the various presentations noted that as a former teacher, he is very concerned about the learning environment in the country as well as to contribute his quota towards nation building.
Chairman Sanyang told audiences in both Madina Manneh and Mbankam in the Lower Niumi Distrits that supporting grass root education, is indeed worthy assuring the beneficiary schools that more of such gestures are in the offing.
He lauded the DHL HUB Leipzig for the payment of all the shipments of the three forty foot containers to the Gambia.
Honorable Alieu K Darboe, Councilor Kembujeh Ward, who also doubles as the communication officer to the charity advised the beneficiaries to wisely utilize the donated items which are brand new and in good conditions.
Honorable Darboe told the gatherings that one way of complementing the efforts of the government is to initiate such to the needed communities saying that as a local representative, he would keep em pirating the charity to continue the great humanitarian assistance to the communities in the areas of education, health, youth children and women empowerments.
The ward Councilor of Madina Seeing Mass, Honorable Amadou Bah, who also doubles as the school chairman in Madina Manneh lauded the donors for the great support highlighting that the donors first came to their aid in the year 2000,
and from that time to date, they have been very supportive.
The head teachers of Madina Manneh, Mbankam, Kebba Sonko and Lamin Demba both gave similar remarks describing the donations as timely and worthy.
Other speakers included Babucarr Ndong, a youth leader from Mbankam, Alkalo of Mbankam, And one Mr. Demba the chairman to the school management committee who all applauded the donors for their support.
Similar donations were extended to URR, Gunjur, Busumbala, Old Yundum, The Yundum Barracks Nursery School.
