Ousainou Bojang and his Sister Amie Bojang were today the 12th of October 2023 arraigned at the Banjul High Court before Justice Jaiteh for trial. Amie Bojang is facing accessory charges while Ousainou Bojang is facing Murder and terrorist attack charges.
The Director of Public Prosecution AN Yusuph and AJ Gibba appeared for the state, Council Darboe appeared for the 1st accused person (Ousainou Bojang) while IK Mboge appeared for the 2nd accused person (Amie Bojang).
The DPP sought for adjournment of the case as he received the case from the police a day before the trial as a result, they needed time to study the case and file formal information to the court. The court granted the request and adjourned the case to the 24th of October 2023 for proper commencement.

According to IK Mboge, he filed a sermon on the 25th of September 2023 for the bail of the second accused person (Amie Bojang) during the judges’ vacation. AN Yusuph said he needs time to reply to the said sermon.
IK Mboge objected to the adjournment because according to him, the second accused person is facing health issues and she’s a mother of 7 and all of them are currently going to school.
IK Mboge to the judge about DPP, “ I show concern over DPP’s reaction about this case. This case attracts not just national but international attention.”
Ruling on the bail application: it was adjourned to the 16th of October 2023 at 10 a.m.
Ousainou Bojang is the primary suspect in the shooting of 3 police officers (Ancy Jawo, Sang J Gomez, and Pateh Jallow) at the Sukuta traffic light on the 12th of September 2023 which resulted in the death of two police officers (Sang Gomez and Pateh Jallow).
