At least eight people including Yusupha Jaiteh, the deputy party leader of The Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) have relinquished their positions at the party.
It is not immediately clear where the eight top figures have departed companies with the party or just resigned as executive members. Meanwhile, reason (s) for their resignation could not also be established at the time of gathering the report. However, all of them have tender their resignation letters to the party executive members.
MC Cham, the GDC Youth Mobilizer has confirmed their resignations. “They have tendered their resignation letters and they also thanked the party for their support during their time with the GDC and we also wish them good luck,” he said
Papa Njie Girigara, mayoral aspirant candidates for the Kanifing Municipality Council in the just concluded mayoral election had earlier resigned from the GDC party.
