The former orderly of late Aja Asombi Bojang, the monther of exiled president, Yahya Jammeh bas been denied entry into the country after failure to come with proper documentation.
Landing Jarju was part of those that accompanied the remains of Aja Asombi Bojang which was repatriated back to the country after her demise in Equatorial Guinea where she was living in self-exile with ther her son.
Gambian authorities did not allow Mr. Jarju entry because his documents were not in oder.
The Gambia Immigration Department’s spokesperson, Mr. Dibba has said that it’s a normal procedure that is applicable to passengers. According to him, when the remains of former president’s mother arrived, authorities realised that Mr. Jarju did not have a valid document so he was denied entry.
“One of the standards at the airport is that who ever arrives without valid document (s) should be subjected to refulsal of entry,” Mr. Dibba said. He added that is a normal immigration procedures and are inline with international standard.
