GDC PRESS RELEASE 8th April, 2020 GDC MOURNS THE DEATH OF ALHAGI O.B. CONATEH
The demise of Alhagie O.B. Conateh is a sad and great loss to the Gambia; the Gambia Democratic Congress party, under the leadership of Honourable Mamma Kandeh wishes to extend our deepest condolences to the people of the Gambia, his friends, family and the entire sports fraternity.
Alhagi O.B. Conateh was the son our country will mourn for eternity. Fisco’s hard work and relentless service to the country and sports earned him the prestigious insignias of the Republic of the Gambia such as Member of the Republic of the Gambia (MRG) and the National Order of the Gambia (ORG). It is a known fact that many will continue to celebrate Fissco’s life due to good manners and respect for humanity.
He was a dear friend to the poor and the needy and has lived the life of an outstanding statesman. We cherish OB’s entrepreneurial skills that created the National Partnership Enterprises (NPE) Sea Food Processing Company, O.B. Trawlers Agency and Wallidan Football Club (WFC); such legacy will continue to be a reflection of his useful life.
The GDC mourns his demise and pray that Allah grant him the highest residence in Jannah, look after his family and ease the burden of his demise on his family, the Gambia and her people.
