Information reaching The Digest News has it that Lamin Darboe, the Executive Director of the National Youth Council (NYC) has been removed on Wednesday, 23rd June 2020. No reason(s) were advanced for his removal.
Mr. Darboe has served in the youth council for several years and is among the most dedicated, committed, and hardworking Gambian youths. He has made tremendous achievements at the youth council during his tenure as Executive Director.

Confirmed reports has it that Mr. Lamin Darboe, the Executive Director of National Youth Council has today, 24th June, 2020 received his dismissal letter from said capacity.
The reasons behind Lamin’s dismissal is not known.
Mr. Darboe is renowned for his due diligence and selfless service to the Youth and the nation at large. He is an epitome of exemplary and inspirational leader — and has served the Council with enormous satisfaction.
We, the young people of The Gambia stand in solidarity with Lamin, and we strongly therefore demand answers for his unlawful dismissal.
