When the case was called, ASP Manga announced his representation for the IGP while Defence Counsel Abdoulie Sissoho represented the accused.

Prosecutor Manga disclosed that they wanted to proceed with the case but because of circumstances, they could not. He told the court that investigations into the matter have taken new dimension and new facts have emerged.

He revealed that they are looking for the possibility to consolidate the case with that of the case involving Fatoumata Jahampa-Ceesay. He therefore applied for an adjournment so that they could proceed with the case. He added that an adjournment would give them time to adjust the charge and make progress.

Defence Counsel Abdoulie Sissoho rose and told the court that he was not opposing to an adjournment but reminded the court that the case is a serious one.

Principal Magistrate Isatou Janneh-Njie subsequently adjourned the case to the 22nd of March, 2019, for hearing.

It could be recalled that Yankuba Touray, a former member of the AFPRC junta, was arraigned earlier before the court and charged with interfering with information or witnesses, an allegation he denied.
