Ex-prison Director General Charged With Murder

David Colley, the former director general of The Gambia Prison Services (GPS) has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and abuse of office, the police source has confirmed.

The ex-prison chief was arrested last weekend with allegations that he aided ‘jungulers’ to kill Baba Jobe as he was recuperating from the hospital in 2012.

The public relations officer (PRO) of The Gambia Police Force (GPF) Spt. David Kujabi, has confirmed the development to us. He said that Mr. Colley has been granted a bail.

David Colley was dismissed on Feb. 24, 2017, after the new government under President Adama Barrow took office.
