Gambia: CDS Drammeh receives Senegalese counterpart during tour

A glimpse into the tour of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) Major General Yakuba A. Drammeh saw the gracing of a meeting with the Chief of Defence Staff of the Senegalese Armed Forces General Biram Diop. The Senegalese CDS during the meeting with his counterpart was accompanied by his Army Commander, General Fulgence Ndour, who was ECOMIG Commander prior to his current appointment together with several other principal staff officers.


A brief but symbolic welcome ceremony for the Senegalese top military general was organized, ushering him in for the high class security engagement.


This move at this time is seen as necessary in this changing times, confirming the growing collaboration between the two countries and their respective Armed Forces.
The two military generals and their aids held a close-door meeting followed by a reception with Sister Security Services at the 2 Infantry Battalion military complex in Farafenni North Bank Region. The duo spoke to their entourage and troops in a unified voice signaling greater understanding and cooperation between the two sides.
