Gambia: IEC Chairman Alieu Momarr Njai signs press release indicating he is well and fully alive

Alieu Momarr Njai, Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) of the Gambia has signed a press release from the country’s electoral body, dispelling rumors of his death, circulated on social media Monday evening.

“The Commission wishes to emphatically state that its Chairman is fully alive, well and still at the helm of affairs of the IEC,” the release indicated.
