Former Social Security MD Manjang rejects Government’s appointment!

Muhammed Manjang, the former Managing Director of the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation (SSHFC) has rejected Gambia Government’s new appointment following his redeployment.

Mr. Manjang was redeployed last week during a mass reshuffle in the Civil Service by the Gambia Government. He was appointed as the new deputy Executive Secretary at the Senegalo-Gambian Permanent Secretariat in Dakar, Senegal, an appointment he rejected. Manjang was replaced by Abdoulie Tambedou, former Managing Director of the Gambia Public Procurement Authority (GPPA).

According to Mr. Manjang’s leaked letter he sent to the Presidency at State House, he said his professional experience is in finance and control of financial institutions but not diplomacy.
