The Gambia’s Independent Electoral Commission (IEC)has lifted the suspension levied on the National Convention Party (NCP) effective 9th July, 2020, a press release from the electoral body, signed by its chairman Alieu Momar Njie stated.
According to the IEC, both parties have signed a joint declaration expressing their willingness to unite.
The IEC further stated that it had also witnessed several negotiation meetings with the said party.
